Our hotel is located in the village, on the shores of Lake Placid, with exhilarating views of the Adirondack Mountains. The hotel features lake access with free paddle boats, rowboats and canoes during your stay, hiking, mountain biking, and cross-country skiing trails located on the property. A variety of restaurants are located in the surrounding area, along with one of three Howard Johnson’s Restaurants left in the world. All spacious guest rooms include refrigerators, microwaves, irons, ironing boards, hair dryers, coffee makers and cable television with HBO and ESPN. Suites with fireplaces and one kid suite are available. The entire building is smoke free, and handicap accessible rooms are provided upon request. Children under 18 stay free in the same room as a parent or guardian. Laundry facilities are located on the property for guest convenience. "The Comfort Inn was about the only place in Lake Placid that allows pets for no extra charge. And it's a very clean and nice hotel. Behind the hotel is the lake with a dock & boats. It's quite nice. The rooms were a good size and clean. I actually found the beds to be quite comfortable, I had a great sleep! :) Great breakfast too (included in price).
